To the New Year

I’m finding the end of the year review isn’t always a cheerful process. But it does help you to start the NEW with a good attitude. Somedays I’m finding junk buried from lots of years ago. One that I find hard as a person and an artist is that of pleasing others and trying to make everyone “happy”. You never do no matter what you try and the more you focus on everyone else’s expectations, the less you are just “being yourself”. I think it is that way for most of us.

A book that has really helped me with focus this year is “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. A daily devotional that talks about our struggles to stay connected to who we really are in Christ and to still function in the chaos of the world.

So I hope that for the upcoming year you too can do some review, some soul searching and most importantly some dreaming. God doesn’t want us to live in fear of this world but in awe of His plans. Here’s to our hope for the future!!! Rich blessings to you!
