what matters most

"The Chase" triptych

I think that question is processed internally hundreds of times a day. Probably thousands if you have kids. (Did I over estimate?)

A question is asked…the brain and heart both answer.

What REALLY matters most in your life?

Love, family, kids, spouse, socializing, God, prayer, church, job, money, respect, joy, peace, justice, politics, Glee, American Idol, Facebook, blog, school, garden, house, car, sports, friends, shopping, creativity…. many choices nowadays.

I’ve asked this question in speaking engagements and casual conversations. Parents regularly say kids and family. Kids often reply friends, school or sports. Some people speak one thing but actions point to the corner bar.

Whatever you pick sets your priorities in all decisions.

If you say God….are your decisions showing it?

The proverb has it that “he’s a fiercely jealous lover.” And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find.
James 4:5
