a place of rest

How often do you wish for an extra day to the week?

Saturday was spent as an “extra” on the set for “A Chance of Rain” with the wind trying to turn the tents into hot air balloons. A great mix of people and interesting to be part of the ACTION.

How often to we miss something extraordinary because we are glued to our rest days?

I think of when Jesus said to Simon (Peter), “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”

Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” (Is that some hesitation and doubt here?)

When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. Luke 5

We don’t always know when, how or where God will use us. If we are following Him, we will listen and act. It might call for a day of something unusual. Maybe even years!!

It shouldn’t be about us trying to make all things work to fit a calendar. He is in charge of scheduling AND results!

So listen closely, pray for discernment and be flexible enough to enjoy the adventures He sends your way…..Like blogging!
