weeds and seeds

I was in a garden frame of mind while driving today. Go figure….

Thinking about words that become seeds that produce weeds in this garden called life.

The bad part…
We don’t plant them all ourselves. Many are thrown at us and we just catch them…sometimes not even knowing they landed on us. How can we keep those words of doubt and seeds of self-condemnation from growing roots or becoming a forest?

How can we fight them when they are everywhere?

Can we ever get rid of them?

YES…we can always pull, dig out, and dispose of the weeds and sprouting seeds. Don’t focus on them…replace them with His truth.

Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Philippians 4:8

    1. Thanks for letting me know Jeanne. Lord we thank you that you have GREAT things in store for each of us. You want the best – even though it won’t be easy – I pray for Jeanne to have a new revelation of Your goodness and plans for her. Peace to you too.

  1. I have a bit of mental weeding to do. I agree with you wholeheartedly! Thanks, Judi! Word do matter – and the thoughts we cultivate are their roots.
