up close and personal

After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Matthew 17:1-2

Then the three heard a voice and went face down in fear.

What do you think your response would be?

The veil has been a topic of interest to me. A few years ago I had a discussion with a Pastor and his wife about seeing God face to face. His wife pointed to the Old Testament saying “you will surely die.”

I remember saying, “What a way to go!”

Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:15-18

  1. Another great post Judi. You are a gifted and talented woman with a heart that follows after God fearlessly. Through your writing and your painting/photography you’re able to express both your mind and the heart and thus reach people in both areas. Your faith shines through loud and clear and I’m honored to get a glimpse into your world.
