lessons learned

There is life without regular computer usage!!
Yes, really!

Landscaping major projects are done and some painting is coming again.

I shared with my Pastors about the Creative Conference and they invited me to paint live. This past Sunday was my first.

In preparing for it, I stood at the easel and created what I will probably title Harvest. It is not complete but helped me to see how much I could really get done in a short time frame and understanding how my paints react in more of a “rush” creation.

Do you think God does preliminary sketches and paintings with us?
Maybe to see how we respond to the space, water, time limitations…

No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

  1. I’ve been part of services where art was being created during and enjoyed it so much. It seems a natural extension of worship.

  2. I saw an artist at my church paint while a vocal artist played guitar and sang. So much artistic stimulation; it was great! I can totally see you doing this.

  3. 1 Corinthians 10:13 has been a favorite of mine since 1983. At our church, one of the pianists does spontaneous compositions on the piano during communion. She is my daughter’s piano teacher and she told her that if she is playing without a book then it means it is made up on the spot. Oh what sweet offerings they are… He created us in his image ~ thus we love to create! ~ Wendy

    1. In His image….I think that is why He brought creative things back to my life so I can experience even more of His goodness. Thanks Wendy – His blessings to you!
