all creatures

This was my second painting during worship and it took a bit longer to finish. If you are into music you might note that I have bass clef music with a treble clef instrument. I could say error but it also helps to keep the painting inclusive. The music is for “All Creatures of Our God and King.”

The trumpet is known for a call to battle or warning.

I feel there is a call to the followers of Jesus. Another reason the ribbon shape I had envisioned turned into a shofar or a ram’s-horn used by Jews in religious ceremonies and as an ancient battle signal.

I don’t believe this painting is just a call to my congregation but to all.

He is preparing the troops – will you join?

He wants to know if you are ALL IN?

Seek God while he’s here to be found,
pray to him while he’s close at hand.
Let the wicked abandon their way of life
and the evil their way of thinking.
Let them come back to God, who is merciful,
come back to our God, who is lavish with forgiveness.
Isaiah 55:6-7
