giving gifts

This week I feel extra blessed by my church family. Since painting during worship, I sit in on the staff meeting and the group listened and shared prayers for me and this trip. For one person, this verse came to mind.

Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
Psalm 112:4

The other verses around it were just as encouraging.

1 Praise the Lord.
Blessed are those who fear the Lord,
who find great delight in his commands.
2 Their children will be mighty in the land;
the generation of the upright will be blessed.
3 Wealth and riches are in their houses,
and their righteousness endures forever.
4 Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.
5 Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely,
who conduct their affairs with justice.

So I pass these Words along as prayer – to each of you reading and to many around the world.

  1. Love the painting and your words are appropriate. I make applique quilts that are actually a hand-pieced painting, I would love to try this one, if you don’t mind….I have so many that are pieced together, but not made into an actual quilt that my daughter counsels me that I should finish some of them. I often wonder if she is thinking (before you die) but did not say it aloud.

    Have a great day. You have made mine brighter.
