what do you hear

Do you find it easy to be thankful when things go wrong?

Years ago my car antenna broke…the kayaks fault! It made drive time quiet and I actually started to like it. Somehow it seemed easier to NOT think without all the words, commercials and radio hosts bringing more thoughts.

You would think your mind would go twice as fast but I found mine relaxing.

I still love to listen to music and see a great movie, but to hear the wind blow, the rustle of the leaves, birds in the morning and squirrels dancing in trees, children’s laughter and hummingbird’s wings.

Ahhhhhhh…the Sounds of Silence…..

“Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.” Matthew 6:6

I get to experience the sound of silence for a while on my way to Dayton. Thanks for reminding me to turn off my radio and listen!
