queen for a day

Does that make you think of pampering with a facial, massage or shopping trip?
Not to exclude guys – how are you King for a day? Maybe its no To Do list.

What does being a King or Queen – prince or princess mean?

palmIn the simple life of carpenter/King Jesus it’s not as glamorous as it seems. Sure he had his feet perfumed and rode in style on a donkey as crowds were cheering him on. But he was heading to his death.

He didn’t need trappings, traditions or trends. He knew whose he was.

Do you know whose you are?

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”

They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:13-19

  1. Caddo Veil says:

Thank the Lord, that even on days when I’ve run short of everything else, I can still hang onto my certain knowledge that I belong to HIM. (Sigh of peaceful relief) God bless you–love, sis Caddo

  2. I try to picture myself in with Jesus and his disciples and I wonder what my answer would have been not knowing what I know now. I would hope that God would instill some holy knowledge so that I could answer “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God”

    • Imagining their walk – I too wonder if I would have denied, ignored and if it were to happen in this life…even with what I know and feel – how would I respond. Each moment is its own response I suppose. thanks for your thoughts Kris.
