time to revive

revive01What does REVIVE mean to you?
Can you draw it, paint it, write it?

A couple weeks ago, I painted live at a street fair. Great fun with wonderful people there to share about their church plant and pray for people. I was displaying paintings and encouraging others to paint with me. My blog friend Kris “happened” to stop by and saw the painting she had asked about. You can read her Speechless response to the day. I’m still filled with awe and laughter at how God brought that together.

With the extra dynamics of multiple jobs and helping mom, I needed to get some REVIVE time. I found pastors I enjoy at a conference in PA and took a road trip retreat. One night I returned to the hotel with my jaw hanging there the message was so good for where I’m at and where I feel God leading.

And holy laughter….that was reviving!!

And it will be said:

“Build up, build up, prepare the road!
Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people.”
For this is what the high and exalted One says—
he who lives forever, whose name is holy:

“I live in a high and holy place,
but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit,
to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
Isaiah 57:14-15

…then my search only found revive in OT and I wonder why? Is it because Jesus makes all things NEW? There is always more to ponder…
