seasons change

beach banner011It has certainly been a different kind of year. Thanking God for mom doing so well after her treatments, surgery and so many ups and downs. We were talking this weekend about the many ways God brought goodness in what seemed hopeless times.

Back to full-time at the nursery/farm through November. I was glad to clean out my little neglected garden between sprinkles this weekend. The therapy of planting was fabulous but I didn’t get to maintain for the best harvest. Learn – adjust and do again!

Aren’t you glad things are redeemable?

More changes as I process through the workshop I wrote a few years ago. Wonderful to have a couple women who will journey through it with me. As I was preparing for this week 1 Peter 4 brought great encouragement.

Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you’ll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want. Verses 1-2
Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner. Verses 12-13

Looking forward to what He has in store. We never fully know but with Him – it will be amazing!
