You’ve always done or thought of something one way and then – someone suggests a new way.
How do you feel when you hear this?
We do need new ideas, creative challenges and to be open to what others share. I don’t mean agree with all but to listen. (I sometimes find it difficult.) It seems many only want to share all they know instead of sharing conversation.
We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. But whoever loves God is known by God. 1 Corinthians 8:1b-3
So let’s love one another and listen. Everyone has something to offer to the conversation!
We could always discuss the lead in… “Now about food sacrificed to idols. 8:1a”

Honestly, I get cranky when people do not offer their ideas in a loving manner. I totally shut down and compartmentalize them in my mind as people I do not care to listen to, even if they have great ideas.
And everyone’s “loving manner” is different…we can’t always tell.
