lavished on us

How often do feel you have had goodness lavished on you?

In the past few years, the question of what does it look like to love well continues in my journal. If we are continually trying to change others, tell them where they are wrong – is that truly love?

Studying effective outreach locally and internationally, it seems better answered in honoring people as they are. Mining out the goodness that God planted deep within them. Meeting people where they are and seeking to understand “them” – all of them.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1a NIV

Were we really worth loving that that much?

God said, “YES!”

Freely we have received – freely give…

Are we being conditional in our giving – in our loving?
