Hawaii – a slice of heaven

There are many positives to digital photography. It’s been wonderful to keep the memories coming even after returning. I’m still not done with all the photos…

A beautiful trip with mom to see my brother. Wonderful times enjoying nature, conversation, and more adventure than mom really desired. Seeing snow on Mauna Kea was not my highlight!

hi 007

One of the days my brother was working, mom and I packed a little lunch and went to Kahalu’u Bay. I soon had a gathering looking for crumbs. I was surprised when one landed on my hand and stayed. Others soon dared to come and test the safety but chose to keep their distance.

How often are we like that with our Heavenly Father?

…choosing a safe, respectful distance when he wants us to sit on his lap so he can share the manna of heaven with us.

kona008-14

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises
and faithful in all he does.
The Lord upholds all who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food at the proper time.
You open your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
Psalm 145:13-16

  1. And what our Father has to offer tastes like nothing of this world. What a cool experience that must have been to have a wild bird feeding from your hand. That would have been a highlight for me that day.
