things unseen

seeing beyond...

seeing beyond…

Some return from a trip and are ready to get back to “normal” life. Somewhere in these past years I gave up on a normal return.

Maybe it was the anxiety attacks at the grocery store. Those are long gone but some extra processing is now a part of the return for me.

Editing photos and making a fb album was helpful. More of the moments not captured on film came out…those places where your heart feels impact.

Holding and praying with a crying woman and language doesn’t matter.

Sharing joy with a grandma who was able to get some piñata bounty.

Realizing another grandma wasn’t knocked down by the candy crowd…she’s actually in there fighting for it!

Holding an unknown mother’s child who falls asleep in your arms.

There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:18 Message

  1. How have I missed that verse in the Message? Perhaps it’s the context you give it that enriches it to me. I can picture all those things you describe. And they are beautiful wrapped in your loving words.

    • When I have passages that stick…I usually go to the Message and read too. Sometimes it’s like putting a megaphone to the words! Keep smiling sweet sister!

  2. Each time we go on a life moving experience it takes time to come back to what those around us see as “normal.” I applaud you for having the courage to take those adventures and give of yourself that way.
