I find google great for getting info quick. I know verses, but seldom exactly where they are located. Since this is the Advent week of HOPE, I thought I would go a little further on that.
Who couldn’t use more HOPE??? I certainly can. Often when I need more of something, I’m digging in to get it. Hope is both a noun and a verb. Here are some similar words.
Aspiration – desire – wish – expectation – ambition – dream – longing – yearning – aim – plan – craving – hankering. And the active part is expecting, anticipating, looking for, believing, and desiring.
One synonym, is FAITH.
Both of HOPE and FAITH really aren’t just a knowing in our mind or a believing something true; but a surety in our hearts. I love the verse, “Out of the heart the mouth speaks.” I think the VOICE bible shares this beautifully.
It’s the same with people. A person full of goodness in his heart produces good things; a person with an evil reservoir in his heart pours out evil things. The heart overflows in the words a person speaks; your words reveal what’s within your heart. Luke 6:35
I pray that this week will be one of HOPE and FAITH for you. That your HEART will beat again with possibilities and dreams for what could be and what will be. That you will find a new song coming to your lips that breathes HOPE to others. Nothing in our lives is a mystery to God and He still reassures us in His Word that HOPE requires patience, FAITH only needs a mustard seed and all things are POSSIBILE with Him. I am agreeing with you for hope to arise, for things that seemed impossible to be done and that your mouth will speak boldly of the goodness and love God will show you!!! There is always HOPE and it is time for great breakthroughs!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!
Hello Judi! This is your old blog pal, Natalie (used to be “wordprocessor”). Remember me? I hope you are well. After a long hiatus and many seasons, I felt the pull to get back on the blogosphere. And of course, I thought of you! I was so happy to see you are still here, faithfully sharing and encouraging others. This message resonates so much. The verse I have been hearing and using as my “roadmap” lately is 1 Cor. 13:13…These 3 remain, faith, hope and love and the greatest is love. We need these so much right now! (And always.) Bless you, friend.🙏🏼💗
Greetings dear friend!! You are remembered frequently. What a joy to see you out here again! Yes, love is definitely what holds it all together! Blessings to you and the family. (I think my other reply was lost.) Much love to all – jude
