As the snow covers our area and activity around the neighborhood is less, I look down the road and some homes have little light showing and others that seem to beam. Making me think that we are to let our light shine!
14-16 “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Lord thank you that we are reflections of You here on this earth, showing the richness and beauty that You bring. Give us boldness to share Your light, truth and love. Let us beam brightly for You as we engage with others. Give us Your heart and passion towards those in need and those who feel they have plenty. We know that You came for ALL and want ALL to know Your generosity. Let us also be generous and freely give as we have freely received.
