ponderings

google hope

I find google great for getting info quick. I know verses, but seldom exactly where they are located. Since this is the Advent week of HOPE, I thought I would go a little further on that.

New Song – oil, coldwax and silver leaf

Who couldn’t use more HOPE??? I certainly can. Often when I need more of something, I’m digging in to get it. Hope is both a noun and a verb. Here are some similar words.

Aspiration – desire – wish – expectation – ambition – dream – longing – yearning – aim – plan – craving – hankering. And the active part is expecting, anticipating, looking for, believing, and desiring.

One synonym, is FAITH.

Both of HOPE and FAITH really aren’t just a knowing in our mind or a believing something true; but a surety in our hearts. I love the verse, “Out of the heart the mouth speaks.” I think the VOICE bible shares this beautifully.

It’s the same with people. A person full of goodness in his heart produces good things; a person with an evil reservoir in his heart pours out evil things. The heart overflows in the words a person speaks; your words reveal what’s within your heart. Luke 6:35

I pray that this week will be one of HOPE and FAITH for you. That your HEART will beat again with possibilities and dreams for what could be and what will be. That you will find a new song coming to your lips that breathes HOPE to others. Nothing in our lives is a mystery to God and He still reassures us in His Word that HOPE requires patience, FAITH only needs a mustard seed and all things are POSSIBILE with Him. I am agreeing with you for hope to arise, for things that seemed impossible to be done and that your mouth will speak boldly of the goodness and love God will show you!!! There is always HOPE and it is time for great breakthroughs!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!

do you dream

This past year I’ve had some interesting dreams. More surprising is I remember many of them.

This one is still speaking…

before the dream :0)
before the dream :0)

DREAM – While I was unaware someone redid my landscaping (I actually had acreage). I noticed one little thing and walked further, I saw more was done – very professional and beautiful. They turned a wild area into sodded, retaining wall and it all looked so….perfect. They also created a small golf hole and putting green. (I thought – who is going to mow this?)

I felt violated.

Then at home or office – I entered a room filled with wrapped packages. I didn’t know how they got in or what was in the packages. I took all and tossed it out the door. He continued to follow and try to have gifts delivered. I wouldn’t accept them and kept pushing him away.

First impression – the “suitor” wanted to bless and win me but didn’t take time to know me. I’m pretty simple…good conversation, walk the beach kind of person…not about stuff.

Then I realized how much God really wants to give us.
How often do we say we’re not interested?
Ouch….

Do you dream?

In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your young will see visions.
Your elders will dream dreams.
Even upon my servants, men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.

are you ready

Lakey Sunset web

I’m ready, God, so ready,
ready from head to toe.
Ready to sing,
ready to raise a God-song:
“Wake, soul! Wake, lute!
Wake up, you sleepyhead sun!”

I’m thanking you, God, out in the streets,
singing your praises in town and country.
The deeper your love, the higher it goes;
every cloud’s a flag to your faithfulness.
Soar high in the skies, O God!
Cover the whole earth with your glory!
And for the sake of the one you love so much,
reach down and help me—answer me!
